@queencelestyna memorials that should have never been...... worse than 11/22, 4/20 or even 9/11. 'our' national guard killed our children. csny's ohio brings it all back.

@gino066 There is a memorial there, one with a list of the names of the victims, others have the list of the events of the week/day etc, minor explanation. In the parking lot, there are 4 memorials, one for each victim. Each has a raised slab of asphalt about 5 feet or so long, with their name on a plaque in one corner of it and 6 lights about waist-high around it. It literally is in the middle of a parking lot, with parking stalls on either side of at least 2, if memory serves me right.

@queencelestyna just wondering.. is there a memorial at the sight? an explanation from our government about what happened and why.. there is no explanation, is there? and I'll call you a hippie, there's pride in that after all, blessings to you, RIP to the victims, their families, friends and the country that was attacked by it's own government.. I guess a history book with real facts is a threat to our leaders.

And for those of you talking of looting, arson, etc., William and Sandra weren't even part of the protest. Those two were just walking to class. If you go and stand at the site, and you look over the parking lot where the students were, you'll see that the students who died were not near the soldiers. Do I think it was wrong that the National Guard was called? Not necessarily, but the shootings? I can't justify that. At all.

Thank you for this beautiful/sad movie. I visited the memorial a few weeks ago, and it was a powerful experience to be standing by the place where each of those four had been standing when they were shot.Call me a liberal, call me a hippie, but there was no reason for those shots to have been fired. RIP Allison, Jeffrey, William, and Sandra.

We were just kids, having fun. They caught us with four joints. I took the hit but Richie was afraid that his future was over, so he took the deal they offered to "save his future". The deal was dropping the charges for a stint in the army. (This was a standard recruiting tactic back then). I never saw him again, he was cut in two in a rice paddy. R.I.P Richie D. you have been missed.
